Biographies of Lawyers:
FRENCH C. SCHREIBERG: Lawyer-Associate; admitted to the Association of Lawyers of New York (1972) Californian (1973); Faculty of Right of the University of New York (J.D., 1972); Northwestern university (B.A., 1972).
I was made lawyer to defend many forms of resistance during the apogee of the movement against the War of Vietnam. After exerting in some offices of public defender like defense counsel, I taught straight youthful and I supervised a clinic of criminal right in the Faculty of Right of the University of San Francisco. I consulted with the Council of Relations of the Agricultural Workers, and later, worked for them, training judges, lawyers and investigators in the administrative right. Having be member of union during my life of work, in the middle of the Seventies, I changed my approach to the defense of the rights of the workers and the unions of workers.
Between 1980 and 1984, I worked for the Department of Industrial Relations of the State of California, and among others tasks, I directed the Department of Criminal Investigations of Cal/OSHA. This unit judged companies when the workers died or were injured as a result of insane or uncertain conditions in the work. I also worked from 1984 to 1991 for the State Council of the Offices of the Construction of California, I developed to a program of health and security for them, and was involved in some subjects of unions of construction workers.
I was united to the Company/signature in 1991 due to the dedication from this office to the health and the security of the worker. My exercise focuses the subjects of labor security and health in the legislative, regulatory and political sand, and includes the impact litigations. The other areas of my practical one are the litigations by accidents in the field of the construction, and causes of damages by contact with toxic substances in the work. Itself training union agents of businesses, proxies, and to agents of the law in the aspects of labor health and security. Also training to young lawyers, right students, and others exceed how it is due to litigate these cases by means of the use of fictitious judgments.
From 1984, I am member assets of some regulating committees and consultation of Cal/OSHA, including those of asbestos, lead, the ergonomic one, the protection against falls, programs to avoid the accidents and the diseases, and the responsibilities of the work sites multi-employers. I am affiliate of the Lawyers of the Consumer of California, the Association of Lawyers of Tree-lined avenue-Against Coast; the Coordinating Committee of Lawyers of the AFL-CIO; the Section of Labor Right and Uses of the Association of Lawyers of California; the Committee on Toxic Substances of the National Union of Lawyers, and the Committee on Work and Use of the National Union of Lawyers, and I am in the Executive Committee of the national committee, and am director of the local committee of the area of the Bay of San Francisco. I am coordinating volunteer of: WORKSAFE " (It works safe).
Outside the work, I participate in the Congregation Sherith Israel and am member of the Committee of Social Action and Justice, in addition, I am contributor in the Committee of Services of Religious School/Youth. Alive in North Beach de San Francisco with my Rachael daughter.
