What happens when we breathed?
When we breathed deeply, eire low by the trachea and enters the central part of the chest. There, the trachea is divided in two, soon four, soon eight and finally in hundreds of thousands of small conduits (bronchi) in each lung. At the end of each conduit there is a tiny stock market (alveolo). The healthful lungs have hundreds of million these bags (alveolos).
When the lawyers of the Company/signature explain to the jury the anatomy of the lungs, they use the example of an inverted oak (because the court and our offices are in Oakland - the Earth of the oaks - and the tree is the emblem of the city). The trachea is like the great trunk that is divided without number of times in branches (conduits) and small branches (small airways), until at the end of each small branch, there is a leaf (alveolo). When the wind blows, the leaves move.
Of similar way, the air that we aspired crosses all the lung until the alveolos. The oxygen that is in the air is transported through of the walls of the alveolos and enters the red cells the blood vessels (hair), that surround each alveolo.
The heart pumps the blood, rich in oxygen, through body and we can make things like running uphill, sending a ball, or to explore the electronic network.
One of secondary products of all these activities is the increase of the “smoke of the exhaust pipe” (carbon dioxide) in the cells of the body. The red cells of the blood gather the carbon dioxide instead of oxygen that gives.
So there are two processes that are working when we breathed. The blood vessels transport the oxygen poor man and carbon dioxide blood, rich, until the alveolos. And, in the invested process, the carbon dioxide leaves by the walls of the alveolos and enters aereovías, and, when exhalamos leaves by the trachea.
The lungs expand and they are contracted while we breathed, but our ribs stay relatively immovable. The pleura, or the lining between the lungs and the ribs, has a lubricant liquid. This liquid allows to a free sliding between the ribs and the lungs. It is easy to imagine that if the pleura pity or becomes inflamed, breathing one becomes very painful.
Nevertheless, when we are healthful, to breathe it is easy - so easy that not even we thought about him.
